Mahindra XUV.e9 Electric SUV Coupe Spotted During Testing, Interior Seen
The Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV coupe is likely to get an 80 kWh battery pack, which will be capable of delivering a range of over 500 km.
Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to unveil an exciting series of battery electric (BE) SUVs, including the much-awaited XUV.e9, which will be the flagship model under the XUV.e sub-brand. This is the electric coupe version of the popular XUV700. Recently it has been seen during testing and some of its pictures have surfaced.
The recently spotted XUV.e9 prototypes offer a very close glimpse of the exterior and interior design. The upcoming Mahindra electric coupe SUV has a pronounced bonnet with crease lines. The frontal design integrates a full-width LED light bar, exuding sophistication and style. Being an electric vehicle, there are no openings in its grill.
The Mahindra XUV.e9 promises a sportier and more mature profile than its predecessors. The sloping roofline ends beautifully at the rear, taking inspiration from the aerodynamic efficiency seen in models like the Tesla Model Y. The XUV.e9 looks much more elegant and mature as opposed to the XUV500 Aero Concept.
The Mahindra XUV.e9 is a 5-seater model, as the sloping roofline does not allow a third row at the rear. It also gets a two-spoke steering wheel, a huge screen spanning across the dashboard, and a redesigned floor console. The images promise a luxurious and tech-packed driving experience.
The XUV.e9 is expected to pack an 80 kWh battery pack, which will offer an impressive range of 500 km on a single charge. The dual-motor layout, generating a total system output of 230-350 bhp, is set to enable an all-wheel-drive (AWD) experience, setting the stage for a spectacular performance. Lower variants may get a smaller battery and an electric motor to keep costs under control.
Mahindra XUV.e9 is expected to be launched in 2025 with a blend of style, technology, and performance. Apart from this, XUV.e8, Thar.e, Bolero. e and Scorpio. e are also to be launched in the future.
