'Jio Motive' Device Launched For Car: It Has Many Advanced Features Like Real-Time Location Tracking, Vehicle Health, Accident Detection
Reliance Jio has launched 'Jio Motiv' to make traditional cars smart. Priced at ₹4,999, this device offers many advanced features like real-time location tracking, vehicle health, and accident detection.
With the launch, Jio Motiv has become available on the company's official e-commerce website and other e-commerce websites. This device works only with Jio's e-SIM. However, for this, there will be no need to purchase a separate SIM and get it recharged. This device will work only on your existing Jio SIM plan.
The company will charge ₹599 annual platform fee
The company will charge ₹599 annual platform fee every year from the users of 'Jio Motiv'. However, this fee will be free for all for the first year, from the second year onwards platform fees will have to be paid to use the device on existing Jio SIM plans.
How to use Geomotive?
Geomotive is a plug-and-play device, which does not require any expert to install. The Jio Motive has to be connected to the car's OBD port, which is located below the steering wheel in most vehicles. Anyone can use it by connecting it to their car. Here we are explaining the installation process in some points-
- Android users download the GeoThings app from Google Play Store and Apple users download the GeoThings app from Apple App Store.
- Log in or sign up to the JioThings app using your Jio number.
- Now select Jio Motiv enter the IMEI number of the device in the app and tap on Proceed.
- Enter the information required about your car in the app and tap Save.
- Connect Jio Motive to the OBD port and then start the car.
- Accept the terms and conditions of the Jio Everywhere Connect number-sharing plan.
- Now you will get a confirmation message of service activation on your mobile.
- Leave your car running for 10 minutes to activate the device. After about 1 hour, all the data of your car will start appearing in the Geothings app.
