The new model will have comfortable upholstery and seats, while two extra doors will further increase the practicality of the rear seats. Besides, it will also get more boot space.

Mahindra Thar: The Thar 5-door is scheduled to hit the market next year, and is one of the big launches from Mahindra for 2024. This model will come with a lot of changes compared to its 3-door version. Thar 5-door will be more luxury and comfort-centric than the 3-door model and its price will also be significantly different from the smaller model. We recently saw a Thar 5-door prototype during testing and saw many changes in it.

You will get a strong look

As expected, the Thar 5-door is longer, and like the 3-door model, it has a great road presence with a different grille design with new slats. New alloys will also be available in 5-door and new LED headlamps will also be available in the front. A new lighting sequence will also be available in the rear tail light.

Interior and Features

The biggest change will be in its interior, which will come with more features than the 3-door variant. It will have a rear camera, front and rear armrest, and a large 10-inch touchscreen, which will be equipped with many modern features. Other main attractions include a sunroof, which will differentiate it from the 3-door model, but it will not be panoramic, although voice control can be seen in it.

The new model will have comfortable upholstery and seats, while two extra doors will further increase the practicality of the rear seats. Besides, it will also get more boot space. Like the Thar 3-door, the 5-door will be offered in 4x2 variants along with 4x4.

Powertrain

Its engine options are expected to remain the same as the 3-door model, which includes a choice of 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines. Mahindra can tune its suspension for more utility as well as more comfort. Hopefully, the 5-door Thar will be extremely popular in the market and will attract more people who want to buy a Thar with more space.
