3 Suvs Will Be Launched Next Year Under Rs 15 Lakh, Waiting For A Long Time

Some new players like Creta Facelift, Mahindra Thar 5-door, and Tata Curve SUV will enter the sub-Rs 15 lakh SUV segment in the Indian market next year.

SUVs are currently the topic of discussion and car manufacturers are banking on this trend to introduce new models not only in India but globally. Price plays a big role in the decision to buy a new car in India and this is one of the reasons why the sub Rs 15 lakh segment is one of the best-selling. So, if your budget is the same and you are planning to buy an SUV next year, then here is information about those 3 cars.

1. Mahindra Thar 5-Door

Certainly, the most popular SUV in the country, Thar, will get a 5-door version next year. Its starting price is expected to be less than Rs 15 lakh. The Thar will borrow the underpinnings from the 5-door Scorpio N and it will sport some new design highlights compared to the existing model. Apart from this, according to the leaked spy photos, new features like an electric sunroof, LED headlamps, a large touchscreen infotainment system and more will be added to the SUV. The powertrain will be carried over from the Thar 3-door.

2. Hyundai Creta Facelift

Creta facelift, one of the most awaited models in the Indian market, will be launched in early 2024. The second generation model was launched in 2020. The front fascia and rear end will be completely redesigned, while the interior will receive notable updates including Level 2 ADAS. A new 1.5L turbo petrol engine will also join the lineup.

3. Tata Curve

Tata Curve is going to be launched next year and the SUV will be launched first with an electric powertrain followed by the ICE model. Showcased in its near-production form at the 2023 Auto Expo, the Curve will follow the brand's latest design direction that we have already seen in the updated Nexon. It will claim a range of approximately 500 kilometers. The ICE model will be positioned to compete directly with mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider, and others.
