Top 10 Sedans On Sale In September 2023 – Dezire, Aura, Verna, City, Slavia, Amaze |
Maruti Suzuki Dezire has topped the list of top 10 sedans with sales of 13,880 units in September 2023.
The sales figures for the top 10 sedans sold in the month of September 2023 have been revealed and Maruti Suzuki's Dezire continues its dominance in the sedan segment with domestic sales of 13,880 units. Whereas, 9,601 units of Dezire were sold in the same period last year, which is an increase of 45 percent on an annual basis. In this way, it is also clear that Dezire has maintained its dominance for years.
Whereas in September 2023 sales, Hyundai Aura stood second overall with 3,900 units, while in September 2022 this figure was 4,239 units, which shows a decline of 8 percent on an annual basis. The new generation Hyundai Verna stood third in the list with domestic sales of 2,610 units as against 1,654 units sold during the same period twelve months ago. Which is an increase of 58 percent on an annual basis.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna comes with several modifications inside and out and it draws power from a new 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine, which produces around 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque. Honda Amaze stood at the fourth position with sales of 2,577 units, which shows a decline of 37 percent year-on-year as compared to 4,082 units sold in September 2022.
Let us tell you that Desire and Amaze are going to get a new generation next year and they will be available to the customers with new looks and features. The third-generation Amaze will make its global debut sometime in 2024. The new Dezire will get a new 1.2 liter, strong hybrid petrol engine, which may be capable of giving a mileage of 35 to 40 km.
Volkswagen Virtus and the popular sedan Honda City stood at fifth and sixth position in the list with 1,791 and 1,599 units respectively. Skoda Slavia has been ranked seventh on the list with 1,581 units, which is a growth of 69 percent year-on-year as compared to 937 units sold in the same period last year.
Like the Amaze, Tata's Tigor also fared poorly in September 2023 and sold only 1,534 units in total last month. Whereas in September 2022, this figure was 3,700 units, which is a decline of 59 percent on an annual basis. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Toyota Camry Hybrid have been ranked ninth and tenth respectively in the list.
