He said, 'The sky will be cloudy. There may be rain in Ahmedabad and other northern districts including Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Aravali. The conditions in Ahmedabad will be dry on the match day and the temperature will be between 30-35 degrees Celsius. The humidity level is expected to be 50 percent.
Reserve day has not been kept for group matches
Let us tell you that there has been no reserve day for group matches in this World Cup. In such a situation, if the result of the India-Pakistan match is not declared on October 14 due to rain or other reasons, then both teams will get one point each. However, a reserve day has been kept for the semi-final and final matches in the World Cup. If the semi-final match is not completed even on the reserve day, the team having a better position in the points table will qualify for the final. If the final match is not completed due to rain, both teams will be declared joint winners.
Ahmedabad pitch remains batting-friendly
This is going to be the second match in the current World Cup on the ground of Ahmedabad. Earlier, Ahmedabad had hosted the inaugural match on 5 October, which was played between England and New Zealand. In that match, the Kiwi team achieved the target of 283 runs with nine wickets remaining in the 37th over. It is expected that there will be a batting-friendly pitch in the India-Pakistan match also.
